John R. Wood Properties, the leading real estate brokerage in Southwest Florida, recently announced that one of the firm’s luxury listings in Naples, Fla. has been selected as a finalist in the HGTV Ultimate House Hunt 2022.
“We’re deeply honored to have this outstanding listing selected as one of the 2022 HGTV Ultimate House Hunt finalists,” said Phil Wood, John R. Wood Properties President and CEO.
The 4,315 square foot home at 1350 Jewel Box Avenue is a finalist in the Waterside Homes category. Known locally as the “pink house,” the home was created from 250 million pounds of concrete and also includes an underground irrigation system for the art installation on the driveway. The listing is represented by Realtor Annie Hagstrom of John R. Wood Properties’ Fifth Avenue office.
The residence, touted in a description as “perhaps the finest modern architectural home in all of Naples,” is currently offered at $18 million. Designed by architect David Poorman, built by master craftsmen Ray Allain of Acadian Builders and featuring interior designs by Ken Mabe at the Tillie Design Company, the home is positioned on a 170-foot private peninsula and includes an additional 80-foot deeded canal frontage. This home was designed to provide the ultimate indoor/outdoor living experience, with every room positioned to showcase water views. Unique features include a custom rooftop garden with outdoor shower, infinity edge pool and spa, shadow box bed, walnut flooring, and custom kitchen with built-in orchid garden.
The HGTV Ultimate House Hunt is a month-long online promotion held on HGTV.com annually, showcasing extraordinary homes for sale in eight categories: Amazing Kitchens, Beachfront Homes, Countryside Retreats, Curb Appeal, Downtown Dwellings, Homes with a History, Outdoor Escapes, and Waterside Homes. All finalists are represented by members of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® and Luxury Portfolio International®.
HGTV’s Ultimate House Hunt winners in each category are chosen based on the number of votes, and an overall favorite will be picked for the listing that received the highest raw total. Last year’s contest attracted more than 54 million page views from HGTV’s loyal audience of home enthusiasts.
A winner will be chosen in each category based on the highest number of votes received, and an overall favorite will be awarded for the listing receiving the most votes. The winning homes will receive editorial exposure on HGTV.com as well as the prestige of being selected as an HGTV fan favorite.
The finalists in all eight categories will be posted on HGTV.com beginning June 28, and consumers can vote for their favorites until August 2, when the winners will be announced.
